1MC Iowa City: Ben McDougal

This week’s 1 Million Cups program will feature entrepreneur and author Ben McDougal, who will discuss his new book, Brewed from Within. The book highlights the stories and insights of entrepreneurs from across the region, including Iowa City-area entrepreneur Andre Wright, who will join Ben for a fireside chat.

In addition, participants in JPEC’s Summer Fellowship Program will present two student startup pitches, offering a look at innovative ideas being developed by the next generation of entrepreneurs.

1 Million Cups is a free, nationwide program designed to educate, engage, and accelerate early-stage startups. We believe in the notion that entrepreneurs can discover solutions and thrive when they collaborate over a million cups of coffee. Drop in our community of innovators and entrepreneurship enthusiasts to connect and support our local startups. Community members are welcome to attend even if they are not an entrepreneur. Every Wednesday, 9 to 10am. Always free and open to the public. No registration required.
